The rail entrance to Ayrfield No1 Colliery. To the right of the photo the Stanford Railway heads off towards Ayrfield No 2 Colliery and Heddon Racecourse Platform. At this spot the formation passes through before the entrance and after a number of shallow cuttings. (2-Apr-2006)
