Description: The most important colliery on the line, it was served by a 700m branch off the main line.
Current status: Only the Upcast Shaft Headframe and the adjacent Winding Hall remain preserved (the latter is available as a hall for hire). The rest of the colliery buildings and the branch which served it are buried under a new housing estate.
